Most of us fail to reach our goals because our goals are based on judgment—we want to change the things we don't like about ourselves. That alone sets us up to fail (you can read more about that here). Then, we look back at past failures as evidence for why we can't reach our goals. And we focus on what we don't have.
This program will change all of that.
In this program you get 66 days of support and the accountability needed to keep you practicing and repeating the thoughts and skills it takes to re-wire your brain and create a new healthy habit pattern that will put you in the flow of success. You will meet your goals with greater ease than ever before and become happier and happier as the days go by.
Why 66 days?
It takes an average of 66 consecutive days to create a new habit, according to recent research published in the European Journal of Social Psychology. It is daily repetition, especially in the initial stages of the process, to make a thought or behavior a habit.
How does this work?
We are learning more and more about how the brain works. Research now testifies to our brain's ability to change and "re-wire" itself, a concept called neuroplasticity. Our brains have the ability to change, strengthen, or destroy neural connections and either create new ones or enhance existing connections. This is done, in part, by immune cells called microglial cells that work in your brain and "prunes" synapses. The synapses that fire more frequently are spared while the others are destroyed. The majority of this process happens when we are at rest, highlighting the need for rest. However, it also highlights the need to practice thoughts and behaviors that we would like to enhance and make automatic. The microglial cells work only on frequency of signaling; there is no information as to whether the signaling of the synapse in question led to a beneficial or detrimental thought or action.
This program is designed to reinforce pathways and synaptic firing patterns that enliven, inspire, and promote thrival through daily prompts from the coach. This re-wiring is key to our success and happiness . The directed change of focus from negative to positive thought patterns and daily repetition work to re-wire your brain in a way that will promote your well-being and accelerate your success…and, you can apply what you learn in this program to any and all future endeavors!
What is included?
You start Day One with a 20-minute personal coaching session to refine your goals and make sure that they are not based on judgment. (This session may be done in person, online, or via telephone, depending on availability.)
On Days 2-66, Dr. JOYLYN will check in with you twice daily with questions and prompts via WhatsApp (one in the morning before 10 am and one in the evening between 9-10 pm).
In the final 7 days of your program you will get a 10—minute celebration session with Dr. JOYLYN to acknowledge your progress and ask any lingering questions.
