I'm Dr. JOYLYN Sparkles

I struggled for decades with eating disorders, depression, abuse, and failing relationships—all fueled and held in place by my deeply held insecurities and low self-esteem (lack of self-love).

I spent years and thousands of dollars in therapy; countless hours crying, looking for what was wrong with me so I could fix it and finally like myself, be happy, and make my life + body work.

I knew if I didn’t figure things out, I was looking ahead to a lifetime of unhappiness.

I was bored and exhausted with being an emotional basket case. (I had a temper if I didn’t feel listened to and I’d fall apart and give up when things got emotionally hard.)

I feared that loneliness and stuckness were going to be my legacy; that happiness just "wasn't meant to be" for me in this life.


➢➢ GAME-CHANGING PLOT-TWISTING EPIPHANY

What I found—through a lot of trial and error and some weird twists of fate—was that it was trauma and growing up in a dysfunctional system that created the disorganization in my brain and sensitization of my nervous system.

BIG BUT: I had serious difficulty handling intense emotions, but there wasn’t anything inherently wrong with me that wasn’t correctable.

The reason I felt stuck and so unhappy was because I didn’t get the modeling and emotional support (co-regulation) to correct and train my nervous systems to be able to maintain emotional stability and rational thinking in intense situations…Basically, I didn’t know HOW to appropriately deal with feelings (mine or anyone else’s).

…I STAYED stuck because I insisted on fairness/justice…that someone else deliver the love that I should’ve gotten then.

When I finally got that it was up to me—my past did not determine my future + my future was up to me—I DECIDED that my trauma, abuse, or the ones who delivered it were not going to be the big deal in my life anymore.

I was going to be the big deal in my life. I was going to have something different.

Knowing by now that self-hate wasn’t working, I got curious about what self-love really meant—worthiness, forgiveness, compassion, boundaries, responsibility, accountability…all of it—and started practicing.

Things changed even faster when I stopped being so serious.

When I tried to get things perfect, afraid to make a mistake, serious about the hurt, progress would slow down and I’d feel “crunchy” (read that: argumentative + resistantAF).

 Week 1: Badass Basics

Without direction you have nowhere to go, so you have to start with the end in mind. In this first module you’ll be guided in a new approach to goal-setting that sets you up for success. After week one you’ll be leaps and bounds ahead of where you’ve ever started up or left off before with Dr. Sparkles’ Future Forward Focus™ approach.

Week 2: Revealing Hidden Obstacles

You might know some spots where you trip up or get in your way, but there are some that are hidden in your subconscious. These obstacles and limiting beliefs are working undetected and unnoticed, wreaking havoc on your confidence and choices. Bringing them to light allows for quicker clearing and gets you out of the blame game and self-sabotaging patterns.

 

Week 3: Recalibrating Your Nervous System for Happiness

Learning the neurophysiological changes that result from trauma and childhood programming will give you the understanding you need to get out of blame + judgment, and the reassurance that you can and will get beyond them. You will know what it takes to heal, build self-esteem, and sustain happiness.

Week 4: Integration

Built in time to catch up on modules and space to let these ideas into your life. You won’t feel behind because you’re being supported and shown how to incorporate rest.

 

Week 5: Dealing With Feelings

Learn the tools and practices that help decrease the intensity and disarm the triggers so you can handle your sh*t and walk away from charged situations with your self-esteem intact.

Week 6: Alchemy + Acceleration

There are a few key ingredients that can take you from stuck to happyAF in a hurry. This week’s video is going to show you what you need (that you’ve already got) and what to add to boost your Self-Love Switcheroo.

 

Week 7: Communication + Relationship Dynamics De-mystified

Correct miscommunication and be heard! Learn how to heal the wounds and break the habits that keep you from feeling safe, secure, and fully loved and lovable..and communicating like crap.

Get both concepts and pragmatic practices that will rebuild trust in yourself and facilitate connection + cooperation with others.

Week 8: Integration

Built in time to catch up on modules and space to let these ideas into your life. You won’t feel behind because you’re being supported and shown how to incorporate rest.

 

Week 9: Boundaries

Boundaries aren’t borders. But they’re most often taught that way.

Learn a new way to hold your own that doesn’t breed resentment or alienate you from yourself or from others. Clear is kind and you will learn how to clean up unhealthy patterns and establish healthy relationships in your life.

Week 10: Working Around Resistance

It’s going to happen—you will be aware of what you need to do and watch yourself refuse to do it. Enigmatic and infuriating, but also hard-wired and entrenched; resistance is actually a protective mechanism. This module will help you understand how to work with and around resistance instead of combatting and creating more…even learning how to improvise and play to grease the wheels and get back on track when you need to.

 

Week 11: Plays Well With Others

Self-love isn’t narcissism, so you’re going to have to learn how to play nice in the sandbox with others. In this module we explore the Universal paradox that everything is for you, but it’s not always about you and what that looks like in real life—how you know when you’re being true to you, giving support without people-pleasing, and more.

Week 12: Celebration and Future Activation

You’ve come a long way, Baby! And by now, you’ll have the confidence and badassery to brag about how far you’ve come! Then, inspired by your own success, we’ll talk about the next future target you will real-ize as things continue to unfold and expand from your work over the past 3 months.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • The 3 Month Self-Love Switcheroo requires a $2700 investment (paid in full); or you can split it into 3 monthly payments of $999 ($2997 total), if needed.

    Badasses who have completed one or more 3+ month program with the HAPPINESS clinic will only pay $2400, regardless of choice to pay in full or monthly.

    Monthly payment plan will require a credit card on file.

    Bring any remaining questions or concerns to your Call for Clarity.

  • Bottom Line: You will get out what you put in.

    The Good News: This program is trauma-informed and designed to work WITH you + FOR you to recalibrate your nervous system, integrate and lean on any and all previous growth/development work you’ve done, and restore connection and flow so you can move around + go beyond resistance and limiting beliefs that have held you back before.

    The TYPICAL experience: Most, if not all clients have reported significant change in the first session (with numerous reports of getting more out of the first session than in a year or more of therapy). You will notice a shift within the first three sessions.

    *Please note that the results you seek may not be the first or only results you notice.

    The work is internal first, the behaviors and outward expressions will move from there.

    Within the program you will be shown a way to mark and measure success so that you will know if + when you are on/off track to course correct (or celebrate! 🥳) as needed without significant hinderance or delay.
