Joylyn changed my life. There is no other way to say that. While I’ve always had great confidence in my professional life and abilities, my personal life was a different story, one where I had no true identity, little confidence, was afraid to try anything new, and even more afraid to do it on my own. I watched for years as opportunities past me by, always telling myself I couldn’t do it or quitting shortly after I started, and then trying to tell myself it was ok that I missed another opportunity. One such opportunity for me was to start running and complete an endurance/obstacle race as final confirmation that I had beat smoking for good.
After passing it up time after time, I started my work with Joylyn. As my life coach, she helped me recognize the infinite potential that I had, and the things that I was doing that were holding me back. She taught me skills to help me succeed, helped me realize that failure wasn’t final, and worked with me to build the confidence to push forward toward the things I wanted. Through my work with Joylyn, I not only gained the identity I’d always been looking for outside of my work, but I also gained the courage to go for the things I wanted, even when I had to do it alone.
Last week, after overcoming an injury, I ran the endurance/obstacle race, and I did it alone. I loved every second of it, and I’ve already registered for another race. I have worked with Dr. Joylyn, both remotely and face-to-face, for a number of years, mostly for nutritional counseling and naturopathic consultation.
